About Us.
History
Tagg-N-Go’s origins go back to 2013, when founders Quinn Allgood and Conner Atkin bought their first self-serve car wash after leaving banking careers. Both were influenced by their late fathers, who were entrepreneurs, and that played a role in their decision to build something of their own.
That first wash taught them the reality of the business fast: consistency matters, details matter, and customer experience is everything. Over time, they shifted toward the express wash model to create a more reliable, streamlined experience for guests and a format that made unlimited washing simple.
The name “Tagg” comes from a penny stock Quinn and Conner invested in early in their partnership. In 2016, they launched the Tagg-N-Go brand and opened the first location on January 8, 2016, on Sunset Boulevard in St. George, Utah.
Locations
Tagg-N-Go’s first location opened on January 8, 2016, on Sunset Boulevard in St. George, Utah. A second St. George location opened later the same year. The company expanded to Cedar City, Utah in 2018, and continued growing into additional markets in 2022 with locations in Utah County and Mesquite, Nevada. In 2023, Tagg-N-Go opened in Rexburg, Idaho, marking its expansion into the state. In 2025, the company increased its presence in Southeast Idaho through the acquisition of seven additional sites.
As of 2025, Tagg-N-Go reported operating 30 locations across Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. Most locations operate as express exterior washes, with interior express service offered at select sites in Lehi and Pleasant Grove, Utah. Tagg-N-Go also operates a self-serve wash location in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Across its locations, Tagg-N-Go provides free guest amenities including vacuum stalls, mat cleaners, detailing supplies, microfiber towels, window cleaner, air fresheners, and dash wipes.
Culture
Company Culture
Our teams are guided by five core values: Customer-Focused, Driven, Growing, Engaged, and Fun. Those aren’t just words on a wall, they’re the expectations behind how we treat guests and how we treat each other. Being customer-focused means we pay attention to the details that shape the experience, from how a guest is greeted to how we handle questions or issues. We work hard to keep the wash consistent from location to location, because reliability is what builds trust.
We also put a lot of emphasis on growth. We want people to feel proud of the work they do and supported in where they want to go next. That includes training, coaching, and opportunities to move into new roles as the company expands. And yes, we keep it fun. A car wash should feel like a bright spot in someone’s day, and our teams help make that happen.
Community Culture
We believe being part of a community means showing up for it, not just operating in it. Tagg-N-Go locations are built to be neighborhood businesses, and we try to act like it. That looks like supporting local schools, teams, and nonprofits, and partnering with organizations that are already doing good work in the places we serve. It also means being present at community events, from parades and festivals to fundraisers and city celebrations.
Volunteering is part of that culture too. Our teams are encouraged to get involved beyond the tunnel, whether that’s helping with food bank efforts, wrapping gifts for families in need, or supporting local causes that matter to them. We don’t see community involvement as a one-time campaign. It’s a habit, and it’s one of the ways we try to earn the trust of the communities that choose us.
Events
SCAREWASH
Our biggest annual event is sCAREwash, a Halloween fundraiser that turns a haunted car wash into real support for local cancer fighters. In 2013, co-founder Quinn Allgood lost his mother to breast cancer. In her memory, sCAREwash started in 2019 and has since donated $129,500+. Select locations are transformed into haunted tunnels, team members dress in costume, and 100% of proceeds go to individuals and families nominated by their community.
Utah Jazz partnership
In 2024, Tagg-N-Go became the Official Car Wash of the Utah Jazz. We host recurring “Jazz-N-Go” events throughout the year, including special visits from the Jazz Bear at select locations.
Local community involvement
Our teams regularly take part in community events across our markets, including City Days celebrations, parades, rodeos, Independence Day events, festivals, and local fundraisers. We also volunteer year-round with causes close to home, including food bank support, hospital meal service programs, and seasonal drives for families in need.
Environmental Impact
We’re committed to running our washes responsibly, especially when it comes to water use. Tagg-N-Go is a member of the WaterSavers program and the WCA Water Wise program, and we use wash systems designed to reduce waste compared to traditional at-home washing.
A portion of the water used in our wash process is reclaimed, recycled, and reused, and our equipment is built to control pressure and flow so less water is used per vehicle. We also use environmentally friendly, biodegradable cleaning products whenever possible. Our goal is simple: deliver a great wash while being mindful of the resources our communities depend on.
Community Involvement
Giving back is part of who we are. We support local schools, nonprofits, teams, and community organizations year-round through sponsorships, donations, and hands-on involvement. That includes providing wash cards and passes for raffles, auctions, and fundraisers, showing up at community events, and volunteering time for causes that are close to home.
Since opening, Tagg-N-Go has donated $500,000+ and provided thousands of free washes and passes to support communities across Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. We believe every location should serve beyond the tunnel, and that the best kind of growth is the kind that strengthens the places we call home.
